Abstract
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of mulching materials and GA©ý treatment in shade culture on the growth of Lilium spp. during high temperature season. The shade levels were 35%, 55% and 75% of full sunlight. In ¢¥Casablanca¢¥ , the thickest stem diameter was observed under the straw mulching at 55% shade. And under the 75% shade condition stem diameter increased with the more application of GA©ý. Length of internode was longest in husk mulching at 75% shade. And GA©ý tended to increase length of internode with the more shade condition and more application. Plant height was highest in husk mulching and 3 time application of GA©ý at 75% shade. Chlorophyll contents increased with the more shade condition. In ¢¥Antila¢¥, the stem diameter increased at 35% shade and thickest stem diameter was observed at one application of GA©ý. Length of internode and plant height was longest in husk mulching at 75% shade. In ¢¥Nepal¢¥, husk mulching at 35% shade had most effective on stem diameter. Longest internode was observed with the two times application of GA©ý at 75% shade. Plant height was highest in husk mulching at 75% shade.
